Yanmar diesel engines equip the Gehl articulated loaders. These are industry established, quiet and efficient powerhouses that feature Interim Tier IV-certified emission technology. These engines are known for their great effectiveness in all functions. Horsepower on the 540 model ranges to 47hp, and to 23hp on the model 140.
Gehl articulated loaders have been made to fit just about every condition. They provide optimal maneuverability and great traction thanks to a heavy-duty oscillating joint which provides 45-degree turning angles left and right, together with 10 degrees of oscillating in either direction. Access is granted to confined and tight places by narrow engine widths. Majority of skid-steer loaders with comparable operating capacities are unable to compete. The bucket and tires on the Gehl machine follow a constant turn radius also. This means the rear tires of the loader follow the path of the front tires.
Fantastic hydraulic performance, together with many time-saving features on the Gehl articulated loaders, offers customers with the hydraulic power and precision they have come to expect from all Gehl machines. Lift arm and bucket float features allow these machines to be able to carry out rearward level and light scraping actions. Flat-face couplers, with the two easily accessible auxiliary hydraulic lines power many tools and make changing the attachments a simple job to complete.
Gehl articulated loaders have uniquely designed lift arms that are made so as to achieve great visibility, maximum strength and fast cycle times. The specific linkage design allows for mechanized self-leveling action in either the upward and downward directions. It could also easily execute excellent bucket dump angles at the top and mid ranges of the lift path along with providing excellent forward reach. Models 340 and 140 have parallel kind linkage and the model 540 has "Z" bar type linkage. These linkage patterns provide fantastic bucket breakout forces from 2433lbs on the model 140 to ten thousand seven hundred forty nine pounds on the model 540.
Gehl articulated loaders are known all over the world for their supreme ergonomics, unsurpassed visibility and ease of operation. The 340 and 540 models have a total cab enclosure option existing. This provides enhanced safety and comfort for the person operating it. Secure operation and 360 degree visibility is maintained by placing the individual operating it higher than the load to ensure an exceptional viewpoint of the attachment. An inching pedal allows the operator to vary ground speed whilst maintaining a fixed engine speed. This particular feature allows the operator to properly run accessories while ensuring precise machine velocity control. A multi-function joystick controls the bucket, travel direction, float, differential lock and auxiliary hydraulic functions as well as the lift arm.
With more than one hundred fifty years of experience within the industry, Gehl clients all around the globe could be contented that all the latest articulated loaders will be backed by the service and support they need. The company's highly dedicated and experienced sales, support and service teams help ensure each aspect of the customer's needs are looked after. Each of the Gehl products are fully backed with remarkable sales and finance options.
Gradall launched in 1992, with the introduction of the new XL Series hydraulics, the most innovative adjustment in their machines ever since their creation. This new system of top-of-the-line hydraulics enabled the Gradall excavator to deliver high productivity and comparable power to the more conventional excavators. The XL Series put an end to the first Gradall equipment power drawn from low pressure hydraulics and gear pumps. These traditional systems effectively handled finishing work and grading but had a difficult time competing for high productivity tasks.
Gradall's new XL Series excavators showed more ability to dig and lift materials. With this series, the models were made together with a piston pump, high-pressure system of hydraulics that showed noticeable improvement in boom and bucket breakout forces. The XL Series hydraulics system was even developed along with a load-sensing capability. Traditional excavators utilize an operator to choose a working-mode; where the Gradall system can automatically adjust the hydraulic power meant for the work at hand. This makes the operator's overall job easier and even saves fuel at the same time.
When their XL Series hydraulics came onto the market, Gradall was essentially thrust into the highly competitive market of machines designed to deal with pavement removal, excavation, demolition as well as several industrial tasks. Marketability was further improved with their telescoping boom because of its exclusive ability to work in low overhead areas and to better position attachments.
